Mind/Body/Spirit

Wellness encompasses more than just physical health. Mental and spiritual health are incredibly important to an overall feeling of wellness and balance.

Practicing yoga has been an integral part of improving and maintaining mind-body-spirit balance for me. Learning to connect with and slow the breath to calm my highly sensitive nervous system has been a game changer reducing the need for anxiety medications. Having a flexible body that comes from practicing yoga also creates flexibility in the mind. Yoga teaches that we are all energetic, interconnected beings and that we have the ability to elevate the positive energetic vibration we share in the world through mindfulness and practice. Kundalini yoga which works to activate latent divine feminine energy has helped me find balance, mental awareness, and tap into creativity.

I’ve felt a strong connection to and presence of God since I was very young. My spirit has found balance in learning to appreciate and understand other religions’ sacred teachings and find similarities to my own religion, Christianity. The world’s religions are intended to complement and enhance one another. The Middle Way or Noble Eightfold Path is a Buddhist teaching that speaks powerfully to me. It consists of rightness of belief, resolve, speech, action, livelihood, effort, thought, and meditation thereby avoiding extremes and suffering.
